World’s Cheapest Car from Tata “the nano” revealed - only Rs 100000/-
In 2006, it was a like a dream- the prospect of a car within 1 lakh (100,000) Indian Rupee. In 2008, it is going to become a reality. In fact, a car of $2,500 from Tata has already caught the attention of everyone in the world car industry. What is amazing is that the cheapest car in the world is coming from an Indian company. 
Ratan Tata, head of the tea-to-steel Tata conglomerate, will unveil the “People’s Car” January 10 at a New Delhi auto show that will carry a sticker price of 100,000 rupees, or 2,500 dollars, which some analysts say could revolutionise automobile costs worldwide.
